I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by the electrician who was sent to inspect my rental property on behalf of the real estate agency. During the visit, the electrician clearly told me that the electrical issues were caused by the age and poor condition of the property’s internal wiring. However, in the official report sent to the real estate, he completely changed his story, blaming “human error” for using multiple appliances at once — something that was never mentioned during the inspection. As a result, I was unfairly charged for the visit, despite being misled with two completely different explanations. This is not only unprofessional but also dishonest. The lack of transparency and conflicting information is highly concerning, and I will be reporting this to the Residential Tenancy Commissioner. Tenants deserve to be treated fairly and with respect — not made to pay for misrepresented and contradictory service reports.
