CLR Electrical & Refrigeration

The job was professional and with care. I accidently overpaid. They raised the issue before I was alerted to it. Trustworthy and disability friendly.
Quick and efficient service. Very impressed with communication between technician and admin, and their turn around time is exceptional.
Absolutely brilliant - if your goal is to pay $280 for electrical work you can’t even use. For transparency: I supplied the cord. It was a 15-amp cord. What I didn’t realise (because I’m not an electrician) is that it wouldn’t be compatible with a standard household outlet. Apparently, neither did the licensed electrician who installed it - or at least, no one thought it was worth mentioning. I only found out when I got home and tried to plug it in. Silly me for assuming a professional might point out something that basic before completing the job. When I raised the issue, the manager’s response was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely lacking in accountability. No acknowledgement, no solution - just “your fault” and an expectation that I should pay again to fix it. So to sum it up: ✔ Took the money ✔ Did the job without any meaningful advice ✔ Left me with something unusable ✔ Then asked for more money to correct it I also did not receive a Certificate of Electrical Safety for this work, raising further concerns about whether the installation was properly tested and compliant. Additionally, despite being charged for 'test and tag,' the machine was returned with no physical safety tag attached. Under AS/NZS 5762, repaired equipment must be tested and tagged before return. The lack of a tag, combined with the incorrect 15A plug and missing certificate proves mandatory safety checks were bypassed. If you’re expecting actual expertise, basic duty of care, or even halfway decent customer service - I’d strongly suggest going elsewhere. ***Update after response from business*** I’m not attempting to defame your business. I’ve shared a factual account of my experience. Prior to this review, all communication was private between myself and your business. Leaving a review here is my right as a customer. I have been upfront that I supplied the 15-amp cord. My concern is that, as a licensed professional, you have a legal Duty of Care to identify and flag equipment that is unsuitable or non-compliant before completing an installation. I only became aware of the incompatibility with a standard household outlet when I attempted to use the machine at home. Identifying that a 340W / 1.4A appliance (as per the data plate) does not require - and should not have - a 15-amp plug installed is a basic professional standard. Furthermore, I am concerned that despite charging $280 for electrical work, I was not provided with: A Certificate of Testing and Safety (as required under Section 26 of the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013). A formal Tax Invoice/Receipt detailing the work performed. A Safety Test Tag affixed to the appliance to verify it had passed mandatory earth continuity and insulation resistance tests. When I raised these issues, the response was dismissive, placed all responsibility on me, and included an expectation that I pay a second time to rectify your initial error. This review reflects that experience.
I have been dealing with CLR for many years and they are consistently professional and timely.
