What customers say

Based on genuine customer reviews

Air conditioning installation and electrical work are the themes that recur throughout the feedback for this Rockhampton team. Customers describe air conditioner units fitted into new builds that look neat and work perfectly, and ovens and cooktops installed with care, alongside general electrical jobs such as positioning new power points. Kacie is named repeatedly as punctual, professional and full of practical suggestions, and Lasse and Hal are singled out for their manner and the standard of their finish. One thing mentioned again and again is reliability: the team arrives when it says it will, stays contactable before and after the job, and explains each stage of the work as it happens.

Several reviewers mention that the pricing quoted was fair and that no hidden costs appeared on the final bill, with one noting the quote came in lower than others received. Tidiness is another recurring note, with installations left clean and faults outside the original scope identified and offered for repair. Reviewers also describe the crew as friendly and family-run, willing to go beyond expectations to finish a job, and the electrical and air conditioning work is consistently reported as completed to a high standard.

Very, very happy with the air-conditioner installation job BFA Electrical did for us. Quoted first and explained it clearly, did a great job and left the work area spotless. Would certainly recommend their services and definitely use them again.

I rarely leave reviews, but this needs to be said clearly. I engaged this company for electrical work at my property. During that work, I suffered an electric shock due to the condition of the installation. This was a serious safety incident and was raised immediately. Following this, Ergon Energy issued a defect notice identifying multiple electrical safety issues. In my experience, only 1 of the 4 identified safety concerns was rectified. The only item they addressed was a power point that had been bypassed and connected directly to mains — their own work. While this was eventually corrected, it highlights the condition of the installation I was dealing with. When I raised safety concerns, they were dismissed. I was laughed at and told Ergon would damage my home to gain access — something Ergon later confirmed was false. After suffering an electric shock, I was not asked if I was okay. Instead, I was blamed for issues arising from their work. I and others experienced behaviour from their female contractor that we considered antagonistic, including communication we interpreted as threatening. The electric shock incident itself was treated as if it did not matter. I also have serious concerns about materials and items I paid for. I and a third party observed a male contractor take items from the property that I believed had not been supplied by them. After raising concerns, claims were made about my behaviour onsite. I strongly dispute those claims and reject that version of events. The owner requested cash-only payment. I paid a $4,000 cash deposit, supported by evidence and phone recordings. A further amount of nearly $6,000 in cash was also requested. This is all recorded. For clarity, I have consistently described the incident as an electric shock. Others referring to it as “electrocution” are incorrect. Based on my experience, I have serious concerns about safety, workmanship, and accountability. If you are considering using this company, I strongly recommend that you independently verify all work, document everything, and proceed with extreme caution. This is my personal experience, and all statements are supported by evidence and witnesses.

Wow, what a team of highly skilled professional electricians and air con installers. How did the air con and Kacie Al the electrical work. Kacie had some fantastic suggestions for us on the positioning of the new power points, all to make our life and well being more comfortable. Thanks Kacie and team, a job extremely well done! Andrew and Jill.

Asked company to install new air-conditioning vents in my home that had discoloured in November 2024. Company wanted full payment before any work commenced. Supplied and installed wrong size vents, didn't replace 1 at all and put a surround around one which looks discusting because vent was smaller then the hole. Many calls made to BFA Electrical, especially Kacie, and all calls ignored. Job still not fixed and it's September 2025. OFT advised BFA Electrical should have only asked for a 5% deposit and rest of completion as per consumer law. Be very cautious dealing with this dishonest company as they get the money and do a runner.

Excellent service by Kacie. Arrived on time and explained exactly what she was doing and what was going to happen.

The worst customer service out there. We purchased an air conditioner over a month ago and still waiting for it to be installed. When we called them for an update we were told “they don’t work for us” after trying to call them several times and not being able to get through. They don’t return your calls or update you, nothing. Even worse they speak in the most disrespectful manner and treat you like garbage even though you pay so much money. Have fun with the ombudsman complaint that’s coming through for you.
